Baddeck River Bike Ride

Enjoy the natural beauty and farmlands of the Baddeck River valley bottom by bicycle. This route goes from the town of Baddeck up the south side of the Baddeck River and back down the west side, a distance of approximately 23 km over good paved roads (no paved shoulders) and likely not a lot of traffic. It is suggested to bring a picnic lunch to eat on the way. Open to all cycling abilities. Please bring $2 for Velo Cape Breton Insurance if you are not yet a member. Also note that there will be no support vehicle and so it is the riders responsibility to ensure their bicycle is in good mechanical order and that bringing your own repair kit is encouraged.

Participants are to meet in the parking lot at the Baddeck Curling Club, behind the City Centre off Cameron Street (near the NSLC)at 10:00,
The route will proceed up the Old Margaree Road, then turn Right at a T-junction just over the TCH overpass (exit 9) onto Big Baddeck Rd, proceeding 11.4 km to the Uisge Ban road junction. The loop then continues another 11 km back to start.
