Bras d’Or Watch: All ages learning fun
July 2311:00 am - 3:00 pm
Grand Narrows, Whycocomagh Picnic Park, St. Peters Marina
Pack up the family and head to the waterfront for Bras D'Or Watch, the funnest citizen science day around. All around that is! This event will be occurring simultaneously in 3 places around the Bras d'Or.
Bras d'Or Watch takes place July 23 from 11-3 (rain date is July 24). Three sites this year are the St. Peter's Marina, Whycocomagh Picnic Park, and Grand Narrows Wharf.
Each site will have a science and education lead available to answer questions, run activities, and to show how to take the scientific samples of the ecosystems. There are some invited guests and these vary from site to site. Some have birders, another had the NS Invasive Species Council, and the Whycocomagh site will host a Two-Eyed Seeing talk from a local Mi'kmaq Knowledge keeper.
